Ames High Little Cyclones

The Ames High School Little Cyclones girls basketball team is coached by Joel Sullivan. A member of the Iowa Conference of the Central Iowa Metropolitan League, the Little Cyclones compete in the state’s largest class of high schools.

The Little Cyclones have been to eight state tournaments in school history, six of them coming in the first decade of the 2000s. The run included a state championship appearance – the first in school history – and runner-up finish in 2009.
